One year ago (03.11.2020) we had to close our doors. No guests, no winter season.... Because looking back does not help us, we like to look forward. That's why we start with good news: Our doors are officially still open! No lockdown, but there is commotion surrounding the rising Corona numbers. We understand the commotion, but despite that, we are positively looking forward to the winter season that is just around the corner.
If you are Vaccinated, Cured from Corona or PCR tested (=3G), you can travel with your QR code or Corona passport. The country Austria is on red, but which country is not on red? The traffic light is green for those with 3G and you are welcome in the many accommodations, restaurants and ski resorts. But Austria has been in the news again in recent days, because as of November 8, 2G (Vaccinated, Cured) will be introduced in Austria. But what exactly does this mean? This rule has -winter sports related- for the time being only concerns the Apres Ski...
Mallnitz is a mountain village away from the crowd, no aprés ski until the late hours, but fun on & around the slopes and in the most beautiful mountain village in Carinthia. Because where better to be than on the slopes in the middle of nature? The fresh air pumping through your lungs? Of course a mouth mask on in the elevator, but hey, most of the time you are outside, and being outside is healthy! Besides the slopes, Mallnitz has plenty of other options for healthy winter sports. When our doors were closed last winter season, we had an incredible amount of snow. It was a real pity that we only had this snow for ourselves, because we would have loved to share it with you as our guests. This winter we may hope for a little less snow, but we do hope for countless guests.
But true is true, even we can not (!) look into the future. The past 2 years the situation around Corona has made us realize, that tomorrow already looks different than today. Een jaartje geleden (03.11.2020) moesten we onze deuren sluiten. Geen gasten, geen winterseizoen... Omdat terugkijken ons niet verder helpt, kijken wij graag vooruit. Daarom beginnen we maar meteen met goed nieuws: Onze deuren zijn officieel nog steeds geopend! Geen lockdown, maar wel onrust rondom de stijgende Corona aantallen. We snappen de onrust, maar ondanks dat, kijken wij positief uit naar het winterseizoen wat voor de deur staat.
Ben je Gevaccineerd, Genezen van Corona óf PCR getest (=3G), dan is er voor jou niets aan de hand en kun je gewoon reizen met je QR code of je Corona paspoort. Het land Oostenrijk staat op rood, maar welk land staat er niet op rood? Het stoplicht staat op groen voor diegenen met 3G en ben je welkom in de vele accommodaties, restaurants én skigebieden. Maar Oostenrijk is de afgelopen dagen wederom in het nieuws, want vanaf 8 november wordt 2G (Gevaccineerd, Genezen) geïntroduceerd in Oostenrijk. Maar wat houdt dit precies in? Deze regel heeft –wintersport gerelateerd– vooralsnog alleen betrekking op de Apres Ski....
Mallnitz is een dorp weg van de massa, geen aprés ski tot in de late uurtjes, maar gezelligheid op & rondom de pistes en in het mooiste bergdorp van Karinthië. Want waar kan je beter zijn dan op de pistes te midden in de natuur? De frisse lucht die door je longen pompt. Natuurlijk een mondkapje op in de lift, maar hè, het grootste gedeelte van de tijd ben je buiten, en buiten zijn is gezond! Naast de pistes heeft Mallnitz tal van andere mogelijkheden voor een gezonde wintersport. Het motto luidt hier niets voor niets: #diebergefurdichallein Toen onze deuren vorig winterseizoen gesloten waren, hebben we ongelooflijk veel sneeuw gehad. Super balen dat we deze sneeuw alleen voor onszelf hadden, want wat hadden we dit graag met jullie als onze gast gedeeld. We hopen deze winter misschien op ietsje minder sneeuw, maar wel op ontelbaar veel gasten. Maar waar is waar, ook wij kunnen niet (!) in de toekomst kijken. De afgelopen 2 jaar heeft de situatie rondom Corona ons doen laten inzien, dat morgen er alweer anders uit ziet dan vandaag.
